In this article we lay out the steps to achieve a cross process effect easily, using Adobe PhotoShop. At the end of the article, there’s a special step that will give the effect of a fill flash – making the picture more naturally and evenly lit.
Step 1- Open the image you want to work with.
Step 2 – Add a adjustment curve layer.
Step 3 – Change the red, green and blue curves to match the setting shown below.
Your result should be something like this.
Step 4 -This is the additional twist. On the adjustment curve layer, change the blending mode to luminosity as shown below.
This is what you’ll end up with. Notice how the lighting is now more evenly distributed and consistent throughout the image.
