What does a Graphic Designer at Hayneedle do?
The Graphic Designer will manage and oversee the daily and weekly graphic design tasks. This person must be proactive in the pursuit of improving the site category in which they will own. They must be on the forefront of creative development, including, but not limited to: typography, color theory, web design, print design, and usability. The Graphic Designer will work in conjunction with and as a partner to a designated Copywriter, Photographer and Imager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and produce all collateral for category and brand messages, including, but not limited to: sitelets, landing pages, banners, flash modules, mini-mailers, direct mailers, package stuffers and t-shirts, as well as be able to implement the designs through HTML and production techniques.
- Solve design challenges quickly and with great thought.
- Work with copy, photography and color separators.
- Drive change, influence others, lead a team and manage up.
- Challenge mediocre visual execution.
- Use Mac and all design applications.

What basic qualifications will our Graphic Designer need to have?
Qualifications:
- BA/BS, AAS or equivalent work experience in Visual Arts or related technical field required.
- 2+ years of design experience in both print and web.
- Proven track record of success in influencing change in a corporate environment.
- Working knowledge of HTML, the design process and production process.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and constructively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated problem solver with a strong eye for detail.
