POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for designing user interfaces and graphic representations to convey marketing concepts. Creates illustrations & implements designs for web-based, computer-based and printed materials from conceptualization/prototypes through final printing and packaging. Evaluates, implements and trains on new hardware/software developments and techniques in graphic design and training presentation.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates illustrations including technical graphics, line art, forms, flow charts, screens and reports using design applications. Creates web-ready graphics and animations using appropriate compressions, file formats, and palettes. Creates and manipulates digital photos for desired visual effects. Creates and designs covers, book interiors, logos, job aids & packaging for materials.

- Creates global templates to ensure the accurate execution of designs and the integration of illustrations for use by the demand generation staff. Evaluates and implements hardware/software for the graphic design function. Programs, tests and debugs Word Basic macros to automate application upgrades and development tasks. Organizes, categorizes, maintains and links graphic files.

- Collaborates with project teams on architecture and navigation decisions for web interface design/usability. Creates templates and interface specifications in authoring tools for on-line training deliverable.

- Creates designs using web-based programming such as XML/XSL & HTML for prototyping and final pages. Collaborates with internal/external programmers/consultants for more complex functionality. Participates in usability testing, developing interface requirements, and establishing test scripts.

- Provides image/illustration ideas and implementation specifications for print, & web based mediums. Presents graphic representations and recommendations to the Project Managers and Campaign & Content Developers.

- Prepares files for electronic release/printing. Troubleshoots tool compatibility and electronic file releases with vendors. Reviews prepress and printed materials. Provides graphic solutions to Project. Managers and Campaign Designers & Content Developers regarding use of templates, graphics and book design, illustrations, layout, other graphic art-related needs, printing and adherence to department standards.

- Highly skilled in building web layouts using Dreamweaver or equivalent software for complex user interfaces including the ability to convert Photoshop files to HTML & CSS, create cutting-edge web graphics from scratch with minimal input from stakeholders

- Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization and how it should be integrated within in web design.

Qualifications Required
(Experience, Skills, Academic):

Education:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a graphic design concentration or Bachelors of Fine Arts, or equivalent in education and experience. Web Master certification required or equivalent in education and experience.

Experience:
- 3-5 years experience with digital photography, web site production/interface design, illustration software, desktop publishing programs, Word Basic or BASIC programming and traditional graphic arts methods, typesetting and studio equipment. Proficient in industry standard packages for illustration, photography, file compression, 3D drawing, web-based programming/tools, and authoring tools. Computer literacy with computer graphics and desktop publishing experience; ability to interpret directions and suggest changes to enhance learning. Provide clear, concise graphics; ability to handle multiple projects on very tight pre-established deadlines. Ability to communicate ideas quickly and to give and receive feedback. Excellent verbal, written and negotiation skills.

- 3+ years of ActionScript including creating XML-driven content
- 3-5 years of Flash IDE experience
- Experience with content management systems like SiteCore preferred, but not required

- Must be proficient in:
- Quark, Pagemaker, or InDesign
- Photoshop
- Flash
- Dreamweaver
